Marketing Executive – Putney

Our client is a full-service, global meetings and events agency. They currently have an opening for a Marketing Executive or Senior Marketing Executive to join their team in Putney.

Job Description

You have a rare opportunity to join the EMEA Marketing Team one of the world’s largest meeting and event agencies.

You will benefit from exposure to all areas of the business, and work with inspiring, expert colleagues from around the world. The pace is fast, and not for the faint-hearted, but you will make friends quickly in our open and accommodating offices.

You will need experience of marketing, but not necessarily of meetings and events – we can help with that. In particular, you will be a natural communicator, confident with technology, adept at writing and a creative thinker.

Collaboration is critical in this business and you will benefit from support from our creative teams, industry experts and thought leaders. You will work across departments to get things done and have a close relationship with internal communications.

There is great potential for the successful candidate to flourish, and we’re very excited to be recruiting for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of external and internal email communications
  • Social media – directly, with the US, and with an agency in EMEA
  • Content creation – research and writing of: blogs, supporting white papers, internal communications – digital and print
  • Events – supporting experiential activity aimed at clients, prospects and staff
  • Measurement – analysis across the board of on- and offline activity; event success and press coverage
  • Budgeting – project scoping, invoice tracking and expenditure reporting
  • PR – supporting external agencies and internal stakeholders with information and content
  • Supplier management – from briefing to progress to delivery
  • Help define target audiences and appropriate channels

Your Profile:

  • Excellent attention to detail, and impeccable standard of written and verbal communication
  • Previous Marketing or Communications experience OR marketing-related qualification
  • Excellent written English
  • Agility and flexibility within the working approach
  • Happy to take direction and work well with others
  • Able to meet multiple deadlines from multiple stakeholders
  • Willing to carry out occasional travel within the UK
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (advanced Powerpoint skills advantageous)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision

Ideal, but not essential

  • Experience with marketing automation software (such as Hubspot, Pardot, Dotmailer etc.
  • Past experience working with global teams – preferred
  • Comfortable using basic design or image-editing software
  • Understanding of the meetings and events industry
  • Proficient in second European language
